FREE to the PUBLICCentral United Church has a new genealogy research centre, now open to the community, as a free service.
Come and research your family tree every Wednesday or Friday afternoon from 1.00 - 3.00 pm. Help is readily available to assist you in any way.
Not sure how to operate a computer?...No problem we can help you. On-hand to help your is a retired history teacher/expert genealogist who will guide you along as you search the Internet for lost
relatives and discover your own genealogy.
Learn how to document what you find in your research. Learn how to build your own family tree. Come and enjoy the friendly company at Central United Church and meet others who share the same
interests in genealogy.
Everyone is welcomed,

UPDATE REPORT
We have had our first request from afar, to search a baptism. A gentleman in Sherbrooke, Quebec, asked us to look for a baptism in 1862. Our inhouse records go back only to the 1880's, so we are now checking to see if our baptisms for 1832-1880's are with our sister church, St. Clair United on the Sarnia Reserve, or are at the United Church Archives in Toronto. And a genealogist at St. Clair United is also searching the other two reserves in our county for the names of the three people named in the request. In the meantime we are keeping our visitor updated on our progress.
